Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, commonly referred to as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment boosts a stat linearly.

Players can recycle six items at once to gauge each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling items scales with their rarity and item level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade of an item can be a method to increase the stats of your armor and weapons. This can be achieved in a variety of ways through the use of upgrade components or increasing the rarity or mark level. Many items can also be reforged in order to increase their value.

You can find upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available all over all over the world and are rewards for missions. They can also be crafted by players. Upgrade components are the most common way to upgrade equipment. These are items that slot into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with upgrade slots, and many require a certain level of upgrade. Certain upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while others offer general bonuses.

The majority of upgrade components that are inserted into items can't be removed or replaced without dismantling them, with the exception of legendary upgrades and equipment. If, however, you have an unusable rune or glyph that hasn't yet been applied to your equipment, you can transfer it to a different piece equipment by using the upgrade Glyphs context menu within the Glyphs panel. This will create an Glyph Set that includes the selected glyph.

You can remove a glyph by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item upgrader mod where the glyph is installed will be destroyed, however the upgraded item can be retrieved by removing the glyph fragments.

Leveling
