Testing can be a bit difficult since there are two connector pins, and they perform different functions however the best method of testing it is to measure resistance between the sensor and the ECU. When the sensor is fully operational, it should be reading approximately 1000 ohms. Examine for signs of coolant, or oil in the connector bay if there are problems with this part.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, when i was accelerating to the fullest speed from highway paytoll, i experienced an abrupt drop in power as if the engine was running out of gas or the injectors are not firing at all. This morning i pull out the spark plugs, 3 were soaked with gazoline and the fourth one was dry. When I crank the engine with no sparks, i place a tissue on the top of each of the injector holes and the 3 that were drenched in gazoline pop out, but the 4th stays shut. I checked the ground connection of ECU pins 14,30 and 48/55. I found 0ohm. I assume that the problem is somewhere else.
I also tried to reset the PID without success. The car is able to start if the G28 is unplugged and it runs perfectly when it is connected but it still is experiencing intermittent misfires at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62) even when it is unplugged, shows temperatures of -49c. I also noticed that the gauge for oil pressure in the cockpit shows 2 bar when the actual pressure is 0.0 if i crank up the engine.
I'm not certain what to do, as i feel i have pretty much eliminated everything else. But i'm worried that I may have missed something. Let me know should you have any suggestions! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump on the g28 is activated by a signal from the RPM sensor.
